The Ramblers' Association

The Ramblers' Association was founded in 1935 to protect public paths, encourage walking, campaign for the freedom to roam in uncultivated open country and defend the beauty of the countryside. It exists to enable everyone to enjoy and discover the wonders of Britain on foot.

Whether you are a serious hiker pushing yourself to the limits, an occasional walker blowing away the cobwebs, or simply want to protect the countryside... the Ramblers is for you.

Dalegarth Guest House is run by Ramblers Worldwide Holidays. All profits not required for the running of the business are covenanted annually to the Ramblers' Association to support its work in helping to preserve footpath access to our magnificent countryside. You are welcome to stay at Dalegarth without being a member of the Ramblers' Association.
